Massachusetts police say a special task force was monitoring a particular apartment for months before entering the residence to conduct a search. Investigators also say that a murder occurred in a parking lot near the apartment complex, and at least 30 empty ammunition casings were later found on the ground. There have been no statements by police to say that the two incidents are connected, but their recent search resulted in the arrest of two men in their early 20s.

Both men were held without bail, pending hearings to determine if the court considers them dangerous to the public. Investigators claim to have seized a substantial amount of illegal drugs during their search. The drugs reportedly included bags of heroin, as well as a substance that police believe to be cocaine.

Handguns, ammo and cash also seized

There are said to have been numerous firearms in the apartment where the two men were apparently residing. In addition, authorities say that $6,000 in cash was also confiscated. Both men are now facing multiple drug and weapons charges. Each accused man has every right to refute the charges against him.
